Welcome to By Invitation Farm, we are the owners/operators, Lisa Wentworth and Gene Cassanelli. The farm was named after one of my grandfather's race horses "By Invitation". Thoroughbred racing is in our blood but just a spectator
sport for us.
I have been riding, training and showing my own hunters for 30 years. My hunter's Romance (aka Mr. Blue Ribbon) and Stock Option have won numerous Championships at shows throughout the Northeast including: Grand Hunter at Lake Placid
Horse Show 2012, and Circuit Champion HITS 2011 and 2012. Triple Kiss; Circuit Champion HITS 2015, Circuit Champion Vermont 2016, Champion WEF 2019 and 2020. We also love to trail ride and go on beach rides.
We have alot of experience with many
different types of horses. Many horses who live at our farm, become more relaxed and gain weight. Although we may have ideas on how to handle certain situations, we don't give advice unless asked.
Gene Cassanelli is my husband and general
fixer upper. He is responsible for all the beautiful green pastures that surround the farm. When he's not doing farm chores, he's in the garage working on his Studebaker's.
When you pull into the farm you will be greeted by our Golden
Retreivers, which we occasionally breed and may have a litter of beautiful puppies
